Since v2026.08.02.0 UnlockTool supports Apple A12/A13 boot ramdisk operations. Those workflows need hardware and files the Android side does not.

Install it correctly the first time
Add an antivirus exclusion first
Servicing tools trigger heuristic detections. Exclude your intended install folder before extracting, or the loader files get quarantined and the tool fails later with vague errors.
Extract to a short path
Use something like C:\UnlockTool. Deep folders with spaces or non-English characters cause avoidable problems.
Run as administrator
Right-click the executable and choose “Run as administrator” — every time, not just the first launch. Allow it through Windows Firewall when prompted.
Install the drivers
USB, VCOM and Qualcomm 9008 drivers before you plug anything in. Most “device not detected” reports come down to this step being skipped.
Log in with your account
Sign in using the UnlockTool.net username your license was activated on. If login fails, confirm the license is active before reinstalling anything.
Update before every session
New loaders and models ship constantly. Running an outdated build against new firmware is the leading cause of failed operations.
Fixes for the usual first-launch problems

| “Server connection failed” | Firewall or proxy is blocking the tool. Allow it explicitly, then retry. |

| Device not detected | Drivers, then cable, then port — in that order. Watch Device Manager as you plug in. |
| Driver name error | Check C:\Windows\System32\drivers for the conflicting file and move it off the system. |
